To position ourselves even more professionally in the cloud and to have a best in class and future proof cloud architecture and strategy, we are now looking for a new senior position, a Chief Cloud Architect. You will report to our CTO and be part of the R&D Extended management team, but will work daily together with our dedicated CloudOps team to take EcoOnline cloud strategy to the next level.

The Team:

EcoOnline has a development organization with 90+ people spread across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ireland and UK. We also have a development partner in Romania contributing with additional resources. We cooperate closely with the Products team and together our passion is delivering state of the art SaaS tools through clever and innovative use of technology. We do this in an agile way with small teams (Pods) utilizing modern project management tools, as well as focus on quality through test driven development.

The team in total master multiple technology stacks and stand prepared to approach any challenge the best way possible.

Responsibilities:

·  Join the CloudOps Team as a technical lead

·   Improve and deliver best in class cloud architecture

·   Ensure we are highly competitive and future proof with our cloud strategy

·   Help the CloudOps team extend its cloud control over all main EcoOnline SaaS applications

·    Be part of acquisitions in terms of evaluating and planning cloud architecture

·    Deliver solutions needed for our SaaS teams

·    Estimate cloud infrastructure costs and meeting budgets

·    Continually assess and take control of cloud maturity, compliance and security

·    Work with partners to deliver best in class SLA and services

·    Work close with our CloudOps lead and Chief Solutions Architect

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10+ years overall IT industry experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a cloud architect role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
  • Proven track record of successful AWS projects.
  • Experience with Cloud migration
  • Experience with hosting microservices
  • Designed proven and working disaster recovery solutions for SaaS applications.
  • Project and/or people leading experience

  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and application security technologies, approaches, and architecture.
  • Experience with relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies
  • Knowledge of authentication

 

Skills:

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of AWS concepts and services
  • Solid cloud network and database competence
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code frameworks, like Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, etc
  • Experience using Teams, Jira, Confluence, git
  • Strong architectural mindset and good understanding of requirements for modern SaaS applications
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent English
  • Solid documentation capabilities

 

Nice to haves:

  • Cloud monitoring
  • AWS cloud architect certification or similar
  • Google and/or Azure public cloud experience
  • Developer background and programming experience
  • CI / CD pipeline creation
  • Kubernetes and/or Docker experience
  • Has delivered a scalable microservices platform
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in solution delivery using Agile methodologies
  • ML Ops experience
