About the Role
The Director of Sales Programmes is a critical leadership role within Revenue Operations, responsible for driving sales effectiveness and pipeline generation through the development, implementation, and optimization of world-class sales programmes. This role acts as a strategic bridge between Marketing, Sales and Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring seamless execution of sales strategies and maximizing revenue potential. This position is pivotal in achieving the company’s ambitious growth targets by fostering a data-driven, process-oriented, and collaborative sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Sales Play motion, ensuring buy-in from multiple parties, and ensuring that ownership is taken within the Sales and BD functions.
Contribute to the development and rollout of Sales Methdology partnering with Sales Leadership and peers within Revenue Operations
Ensure sales management cadence is executed successfully across the sales organization (i.e. Deal Review cadence; Pipeline Health; Demand Councils; QBRs)
Working Relationships:
This is a strategic role with success significantly defined by developing effective working relationships across a number of functions:
- Sales Leadership: To understand sales priorities, and challenges, ensure alignment between sales programmes and field execution.
- BDR Leadership: To optimise lead qualification, handoff processes, and joint account targeting strategies, maximizing pipeline generation.
- Sales Enablement: To inform the sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively execute sales programmes.
- Revenue Systems: To leverage technology for process, data analysis, performance tracking, and automation of sales processes.
- Sales Operations: To provide operational support, reporting, and analytics to measure the effectiveness of sales programmes.
- Product Marketing: To work on Sales Plays and identify opportunities to develop content and messaging that will drive sales performance.
- Demand Generation: Understand Demand Generation campaign messaging and target audience to align with sales plays and programs to maximise pipeline generation impact.
What we're looking for:
- 8-10+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Sales Performance, Sales Transformation, Sales Enablement, Marketing and Business Development with a focus on sales programme and sales play development and implementation.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding targets.
- Deep understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Experience in implementing programs that leveraging CRM, data and sales automation tools (e.g. Salesforce; Gong; 6Sense; Cognism; ZoomInfo).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
- Experience in the software industry, preferably with safety or regulatory solutions, is a plus.
