About the Role
The Strategic Growth Account Executive is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth through a combination of expansion within a portfolio of existing strategic customer accounts and the acquisition of new strategic customers across mid- to high-value opportunities.
This is a blended hunter–farmer role, combining responsibility for nurturing and expanding existing relationships while also identifying, qualifying, and closing strategic net-new business that aligns with long-term growth priorities.
The role sits within the Strategic Growth Team, focused on delivering predictable growth, increasing share of wallet, and securing mid- to high-value new customer wins that strengthen the company’s market position.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Ownership
• Own and manage a portfolio of existing strategic accounts, acting as the primary commercial point of contact
• Build and maintain strong, multi-level relationships across customer organisations
• Develop and execute account growth plans focused on expansion, retention, and long-term value creation
• Identify and deliver upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities across solutions and use cases
• Ensure customer satisfaction while increasing account value and strategic relevance
Strategic Net-New Acquisition
• Identify, qualify, and pursue mid- to high-value net-new opportunities aligned to strategic growth objectives
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business through outbound activity, partner collaboration, and inbound leads
• Manage end-to-end sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers
• Position the organisation as a trusted, long-term partner, not just a transactional supplier
Pipeline, Planning & Forecasting
• Build and manage a balanced pipeline across existing account expansion and net-new acquisition
• Forecast accurately and maintain clear visibility of deal progression
• Prioritise opportunities based on value, strategic fit, and likelihood to close
Value-Based Selling
• Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges, priorities, and market dynamics
• Lead consultative, outcome-focused sales conversations
• Clearly articulate business value, ROI, and long-term impact
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, SDRs, Partners, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive coordinated growth
• Support account-based initiatives and strategic campaigns
• Represent the voice of the customer internally for strategic accounts
What we're looking for:
At least 3 years experience in navigating complex deals at a strategic level.
Are comfortable operating across both account expansion and new business acquisition
Have experience managing mid- to high-value deals and complex buying groups
Take a structured, strategic approach to pipeline and account planning
Balance long-term relationship building with strong commercial execution
