Help Build the Platform Behind EcoOnline's Product Ecosystem:
At EcoOnline, we're building the shared platform services that power and connect our growing suite of products.
We're looking for a Platform Engineering Team Lead to manage of experienced engineers responsible for the core services that sit at the heart of our platform, including identity, authentication, user management, hierarchy services, access management, enterprise integrations, and product connectivity.
This is a hybrid leadership role that combines people management, technical leadership, and hands-on engineering. Approximately 60-70% of your time will focus on leading and developing a team of senior engineers, driving delivery, supporting technical decision-making, and maintaining engineering standards. The remaining 30-40% will be spent contributing directly through architecture, design, code reviews, technical problem-solving, and software development.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading engineers but doesn't want to step away from hands-on development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior platform engineers.
Drive delivery across EcoOnline's shared platform services, including identity, access management, enterprise integrations, and product connectivity.
Balance people leadership with hands-on engineering, architecture, and technical decision-making.
Own and promote high standards across security, quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
Partner with Product, Engineering, CloudOps, and Security teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
Champion AI-assisted and agentic development practices across the team.
What we're looking for:
Strong software engineering background in PHP, .NET, or similar backend technologies.
Experience leading or managing software engineers in a modern SaaS environment.
Hands-on AWS experience and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience designing secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
What we're looking for:
Identity and Access Management (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSO).
Event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.
Experience working with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
Python, machine learning, or AI-related development experience.
